Mashed potatos should not be lumpy. Texture is ok. You must have confused news shows. It did rain last night but the most Metro Atlanta got in any one place was about an inch. Here? It was damp this morning. Thanks for the well wishes though.

ok not lumpy per se, but I like bites of potato in mine.

Maybe I heard wrong on the rain. Sorry, Hope you get some...rain.

I think it's too late for...rain. The camels are coming over the ridge.

Now scalloped potatos are another thing. And home fries. There you have to have the actual intact animal, so to speak. I think I've been inspired, I'm slow cooking a pork shoulder as I type. I've got a potato in it, I wonder if I can salvage the chunks and scallop them.

Oddly I hate scalloped potatoes. Love home fries, but I really like lumpies in my mashies.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I had mashed potatos, no lumps, rib roast and carrots. Had to wait a few hours until I could eat some pumpkin pie, with obligatory Kool Whip.
