As Wendy said in her blog, Saturday was my graduation. I had bitched about going for about a month, but it was actually pretty cool. It was an incredibility long day, starting at 7am, but my family was there and my BFF Wendy. Here's a picture from the event. That's me in the costume and Wendy.

And what I would say to myself is
GIRL! do your roots!
Costume = doctoral regalia.
Think of me in twenty years when you see it in the corner of the closet, that's where mine is.
Oh, and my cowl is way cooler, U of M colors and all.
I think my cowl reflects my degree, counseling. Still not sure what my school colors are.
My regalia is in the closet next to my Master's regalia. If I ever go back into college teaching, I may need it again.
I've always wanted to go to a graduation ceremony and wear it again.
I gather your U. does it differently than Miami: our cowl had the school colors.
